Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window

An aircraft ferrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet touched down following established safety measures and all passengers, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson commented in a social media post.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the city of Brussels during the flight.

This incident is not the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a senior official has experienced mechanical issues.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to turn back to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical fault.
