The former president's Family Member Seeks Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete boasts considerable social media following
Kai Trump will have plenty of well-known cheerleaders when she begins her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to play at the Annika competition in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses several courses worldwide and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play tight competitions," she mentioned.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He basically advised me to compete and have fun," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, making him quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in a mere three competitions recently and maintains position 461 in AJGA standings.
However she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with her mother.
"He represents the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive human being. He told me to compete, relax, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of top competitors in women's golf at the Annika, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Officials mentioned that her participation exposes the sport to wider groups, particularly reaching youth audiences.
The social media influencer boasts a massive following and recently launched an exclusive fashion and living label.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
